Yōkai Pinot Noir

Yōkai began in 2021 when we made our first Pinot Noir. Having focused largely on Southern Rhône grapes, we were trying something different. The name draws on shapeshifting in Japanese folklore, a metaphor for Saint K exploring a different side of itself.

The artwork opens a more dreamlike part of the story, where folklore slips into the wasteland and it’s harder to tell what’s real.

2021 Pinot Noir

Our first Pinot Noir was never really part of the plan. The fruit was too good to pass up, so we changed course. Yōkai, the shapeshifting spirits of Japanese folklore, became a fitting name for stepping into something new without losing who we are. The three-legged raven carries that idea onto the first Pinot label.
